Kneeling Carpet Square

This was my piece of the project for the West Kingdom Kneeling Carpets.  The Carpets were produced by the West Kingdom Needleworker's Guild. Each carpet displays the devices of the West, and its three Principalities: the Mists, Cynaugua, and Oertha.  Two carpets were completed, one each for the King and Queen.  The King's Carpet has acorns and oak leaves as the background.  The Queen's Carpet has roses and rose leaves

My piece belongs to the King's Carpet, and bears the device of the Principality of Oertha.  The design was worked in tent stitch with Paternayan crewel wool.

When the carpets were comstructed, they measured about four feet by three feet.
